Do lots of projects:
We need to know what type of projects that the students want to do, if the project is a team project or a group project, and if the project is large or small/involves building or crafting/brainstorming and working.
The resources that we will need are projects supplies depending on the project, wood, duct tape, glue, paint, power tools, computers for research, paper, staples, markers, and screws/nails.
We will need to talk to the teachers about what projects we will be doing, other students, parents, and professionals.
Have a huge exhibition with lots of different projects incorporated
Important characteristics of having a larger exhibition with lots of projects incorporated are to make exhibition more fun, to teach people about what we are learning, and to make our exhibition better than the rest of the school.
Students are involved and affected because it is their projects and work coming together to create the exhibition. Teacher are involved and affected because they are helping the students and supplying materials for them to use.
As the students our goals for the exhibition is to create beautiful work that exceeds people's expectations and to have the best exhibition in the school. What we want to see happen is different people coming together to collaborate in ways that they have not already and produce amazing projects.
This would take place in our classrooms/outside of our classrooms.
This would happen on December 20, 2012.
We could make this happen by preparing and working very hard on setting exhibition up and creating exceptional work.
The steps we would take would be, choose a topic, brainstorm ideas, get into groups, prototype ideas, critique work, revise, begin creating, setup room, and then present our work.
Geniuses:
We need to know what people are interested or good at (skills and talents), who works well together because collaborative minds are better than one mind, and different topics of subjects to learn.
The resources we will need are some college level books, college professors or teachers of high caliber, and different classes for each talent or skill.
We will need to talk to, teacher to teach higher level material, and students to tell us what they are interested in.
College professors teach a lesson for the class:
The students will be involved and affected because they will be learning higher level material, the teachers will be involved because they will be contacting the professors.
We want to see kids in our class learn college level material to prepare them for the future.
Our goals are to persuade professors to come in and teach our class a lesson, and to fully understand the material.
This would take place in the classroom.
Date unknown.
The steps that we would have to take is to first, locate a college, find professors who are willing to teach us, email the professors, set a date that fits their schedule, and the professors come in and teach us.
Snack Stands:
We need to know what type of snack the other students like, we also need to know how we can build the vending machine, as well as who is going to fill it with snacks.
The resources that we will need are, wood, springs, snacks/candy, dowels, wooden knob, screws, glue, string, and tools.
We will need to talk to the teachers about creating the vending machine, and the students about what they want in it.
Vending Machine:
Students will be involved with this because they will be helping to build it, and teachers will be involved because they will be supplying materials.
Students will be affected by this because they will be getting free, or paid for, snacks.
We want to see the vending machine working and in the classroom.
Our goals are to make a working vending machine for student and teacher that looks good.
This would take place in class.
This will happen in the future sometime.
The steps we would take are, having a rough sketch, prototype, critique, revisions, create, finalize, and display.
